Beam Detectors

An optical beam smoke detector projects an infrared beam across a large open space to a reflector or receiver. When smoke crosses the beam and reduces its strength, the detector raises an alarm. A single beam detector can cover an area that would otherwise need many ceiling-mounted point detectors, which makes it practical for high and wide spaces.

Typical uses: warehouses, factory sheds, auditoriums, atriums, malls, sports halls and heritage buildings.

Ultrasafe surveys the space, selects the beam range and mounting positions, then installs, aligns and commissions the detector with your fire alarm panel. Beam detectors also need periodic alignment and cleaning, which is included in our AMC visits.
